"Dewdrop, do you know your ignorance tax amount?"

That was the moment my mentor stopped me in my tracks.

"Wait—what? What Ignorance Tax?" I asked, eyebrows raised.

"What’s your financial milestone for the year?"

_"Six figures," I said confidently.

"And how much did you earn in your last 100-day challenge?"

"$27,000."

"Your ignorance tax is $73,000. You are paying this amount daily."

Pause. A long one.

"Why?"

"Because you don’t know how to make it. You lack the skills, the knowledge, and the strategic know-how to bridge the gap. That missing knowledge is costing you every single day."

It was raw. Personal. Uncomfortable—because it was true. 

Suddenly, it hit hard. I had already discussed this in my upcoming book, Nourished Mindset, as Growth Tax, which is the cost of stagnation, the silent tax you pay for staying stuck.

Let’s take my own 100-day challenge example.

🔹 Target Goal: $100,000 

🔹 Actual Earnings: $27,000 

🔹 Growth Tax Paid: 100,000−27,000 = $73,000

That’s $73,000 lost, not because I wasn’t working hard enough, but because there were gaps in my knowledge, execution, and strategy.

Each day, the cost piled up. Every hesitation made the gap wider. And just like financial debt, the longer I avoided solving it, the harder it became to close the gap.

How to Reduce Your Growth Tax

• Pitch the corporate deal

3️⃣ Get a Mentor Who Sees What You Don’t

 Let’s take Sada, a coach aiming for $20,000 in X weeks. She needs $4,000 per week, but she skips two weeks.

 🔹 Lost Revenue from Skipped Weeks: 2×4000=$8,000

 🔹 Opportunity Cost (Lost Clients): If she were supposed to book 4 clients per week, missing work means: 2×4=8 clients lost

 Those 8 lost clients could have been worth $8,000 – $12,000.

 🔹 Stagnation Interest (Harder Recovery): Now, instead of needing $4,000 per week, she needs $6,666 per week to catch up.

 That’s Growth Tax in real numbers—showing how every missed milestone increases financial strain.
